Covid 19

Additional Information

First and foremost, we hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy.

We have received questions from member families about if and how COVID-19 will change the way we operate the GHBC.

The health and safety of our swimmers, staff, and other patrons remains our highest priority.

Below you will find a summary of actions we are taking to help ensure we are lowering COVID-19 risk as much as possible while also allowing our swimmers and patrons to enjoy the water.

We are:

 - Promoting healthy hygiene practices, such as encouraging all staff, patrons, and

swimmers to stay home if they are unwell, wash their hands frequently, cover coughs

and sneezes, wear cloth face coverings when not in the water.

 (i) Cloth face coverings should not be placed on children younger than 2 years of age, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove the cover without assistance.

(ii) GHBC will require members to provide their own face coverings. GHBC will

purchase a quantity of masks to provide to members if they do not have one.

 - Increasing cleaning, disinfection, and ventilation within our facilities by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces, such as handrails, slides, structures for play and climbing, lounge chairs, picnic tables and chairs, barbeque grills, and door handles. We are also providing washing stations in the restrooms and clubhouse, having adequate soap, hand sanitizer and paper towels. We are opening windows and doors indoor spaces, making sure that we have safe and correct use and storage of

disinfectants.

 - Encouraging social distancing when possible by changing deck layouts to ensure

patrons can remain 6 feet apart in standing and seating areas, providing visual cues like tape on floors, staggering use of communal spaces such as the clubhouse or restrooms, and limiting large group events on premises.

In the event someone gets sick, we will notify local health officials.

By entering the Club and using the facilities, each member (on behalf of themselves, their families and guests) and every other person that enters the Club shall be deemed, by reason of such entry, to have expressly

  (i) acknowledged receipt of notice of the foregoing guidelines, rules, regulations and procedures,

(ii) agreed to comply with all rules, regulations and procedures promulgated by the Club for the health and safety of our members and guests, and

(iii) agreed to enter the Club at their own risk, understanding that while we are taking all reasonable actions to reduce and prevent the spread of infection, the Club cannot and does not guaranty that all entrants will be free from exposure to COVID-19 or any other risk.

If you have a specific question about this plan or COVID-19, please ask Cathy Strick for more information. We look forward to seeing you. Now, let’s jump in and have fun!

Thank you, and stay healthy,
